Hi, I'm Lauren

I am the woman behind Soul Tapping and an advocate for ALL emotions. I teach people how to make sense of and release their emotions, by working with the body.

I have a soft spot for highly sensitive and empathic women because I am one.

I sense, and often feel (sometimes very physically), the emotions of others. This felt like a weakness for a long time; until I discovered how to use these gifts to help my clients change their lives.

I love digging, uncovering deeper meanings and finding answers. I’ve even been affectionately called ‘detective’ (though this might be from my many trench coats!). I also love efficiency and getting results, which is why I am always approaching issues from different angles to identify the root cause. I try to find the most efficient way to help people heal. Why take the scenic route when we can go to the root cause and change everything?

Emotions are my thing! I find them fascinating.

They impact everything we do - our decisions, our health, our relationships and how we see the world. Emotions are at the core of my work. I help women build their tolerance for difficult feelings and teach them how to extract the wisdom from these feelings, and how to regulate themselves.

I imagine a world where everyone understands their emotions, takes responsibility for them and their own healing, and has the tools to regulate themselves rather than reacting and living destructively.

I see mind-body approaches as our way forward. Every day science is proving what ancient cultures have always known - our beliefs, emotions and bodies play a huge role in our wellbeing. This is why I primarily work with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques, or tapping) – an evidence-based, mind-body technique that combines elements of psychology and acupuncture.

Before I was a therapist, I focused on addressing poverty, gender inequality, and violence against women and children.

It was meaningful work, but I realised I could have a greater impact helping individuals heal and understand their emotions; and this might even change the world faster! I am still a proud an advocate for women, especially on issues such as preventing violence against women and gender equality.

I have been on my own healing journey for over 15 years (triggered by the end of a relationship and moving to Peru - a story for another day!). I have explored many healing modalities and this, together with my work as a certified clinical EFT Practitioner, and training in emotional intelligence, reiki and coaching has given me a treasure trove of wisdom and tools to share.

As a certified clinical Advanced EFT Practitioner and coach, I have worked with many individuals on anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, emotional eating, poor self-esteem, body image, relationship issues, unhealthy habits and more. I have led more than 10 groups and workshops including in workplaces, schools and youth detention; teaching people the value of their emotions and how to regulate themselves.
